Ballymaloe Grainstore hosts the Scarlet String Quartet for a concert of exquisite and virtuosic music to celebrate warmer days and new beginnings. Performing sunlight filled music, including a rarely played and gorgeous composition by Frank Bridge; ‘Idyll’, Hungarian Dances by Brahms, Puccini’s glorious Crisantemi, Florence Price’s Adoration and beautiful favourites from Debussy and Ravel. The quartet’s love of melody and passion in the music they play makes for a fulfilling and powerful performance.
