“A wedding day sings a song of love”
On this crisp sunny winters day Scarlet duo played for Lara and JP in St Fachtna’s 140yr old church in Bonane. There is also a heritage park nearby which dates before New Grange and is well worth a visit. A parish of over 3000 lived in the area around the time of famine. As the priest said there is a very long History here and Laura and JP are making history too on their special day.
We played up in the balcony which was lovely and sounded beautiful. We were joined by singer and flute player friend of the couple, Miriam.
We played Gabriel’s oboe with flute, Miriam also sang clouds veil and Pie Jesu.
We also played
Flower duet, Clare de Lune by Debussy, O Hholy Night, Here comes the Sun and Coldplay’s Viva la Vida.
Afterwards we played in the atmospheric Sheen Falls Lodge, in the absolutely gorgeous lounge area.
Life is short and we should enjoy these occasions we gather together with family and friends.
